This private desert tour from Marrakech to the dunes of Zagora through the gate of the desert Ouarzazate, the valley of Deraa, and the village of Agdez is the best way to discover authentic Morocco, the way of life of the Berber nomads, the local culture during an animated evening by the nomadic music of Sahara and spending the night under the stars in a private Saharan tent in the desert, after a lifetime camel trek through the arid Sahara desert of Zagora.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait ben Haddou – Agdez – Zagora

After breakfast in Marrakech via the Tichka Pass (2260m), then follow the road to Ait Ben Haddou through the Berber villages of the Atlas. Arrival at Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village dated to the 18th century and marked as world heritage by Unesco since 1987, this beautiful site was an attractive fertile land for many directors to shot many movies such as Gladiator, the Lawrence of Arabia, the Alexander, The jewel of the Nile, … after exploring the Kasbah, you will enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. Then, continue towards the Draa valley and its huge palm grove via Ouarzazate. Continue our journey towards the Draa Valley, crossing the most beautiful Berber villages, then the gorgeous gorges Saouen passing the village of Agdez. Visit the kasbah Tamnougalte; the meeting of caravans coming from south / Sahara and the others coming from the north; arrival in Zagora our final destination for this day, after a tea break, ride camels for a new adventure crossing the palm grove of Draa to reach the sands of Tinfo dunes to spend the night under the Berber tents.

Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Early wake up to enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the arid lands, then, camel ride back to your hotel to meet your driver to start a new explorative journey towards Marrakech, follow the road of the thousand Kasbahs and the old route of Caravans (by track to see the most beautiful part of the valley of Draa); arrival in Ouarzazate stop to visit the city of Ouarzazate: the Kasbah of Taourirt, the film studios. Then we take the road through the village of Merzgane and the village of Ighrem. Lunch in on the road, then direction Marrakech.
