Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Kasbah Ait ben Haddou – Skoura – Rose valley – Dades Gorges

Your 3 days desert tour from Marrakech begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 8 AM, Your professional driver/guide will pick you up in an air-conditioned vehicle and drive towards the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, you will cross the high atlas mountains road enjoying the various villages of adobe settled at the foothills of the high mountains, during the road, you will have many stops for some amazing photos, continue through the old road of Caravans to reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an old fortified village, marked as world heritage by UNESCO since 1987. A site where many famous international movies shot,  such as Gladiator, the Lawrence of Arabia, the Alexander, ….After exploring the village with your guide you will enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. And then, continue our journey to Ouarzazate, once in Ouarzazate, you will have the opportunity to explore the cinema studios of Atlas, to discover the old staff and the movies shot on these sites, continue the*n, to explore another world heritage 18th century Kasbah in Ouarzazate. After that, we will head towards the Rose valley, through the palm grove of Skoura. Visit the magnificent Kasbah of Amridil (Optional). Then, Departure to reach the rose valley, where e will have a stop to visit a rose cooperative to get an idea about the benefits of the products made from the unique rose, if you come in may then, we will enjoy a moment at the annual festival of roses. Our trip will continue through the valley of thousand Kasbahs to reach the Gorges of Dades, crossing the Berber villages, arrival at the gorges, and check in to your hotel, Overnight night in the Gorges.

Day 2: Dades valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Desert of Merzouga

After a traditional breakfast at your hotel, we will first visit the Gorges of Dades for some amazing photos of the great canyon, then, start a new journey towards the desert of Merzouga. Our first stop will be the visit to the village of Todra and the Todra Gorges. After exploring the Gorges of Todra, our explorative journey will continue to the desert,  passing through the city of Erfoud (city of fossils and dates) until you reach Merzouga.

Once in Merzouga and after a welcoming mint tea, we will start a new adventure in a caravan of camels, an hour and a half the stroll the great golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, and reach the desert camp at the foot of the Great Dune. During the camel trek, you will enjoy a lifetime of the beautiful sunset over the sand dunes.

Dinner at the camp and overnight in a private tent in the heart of the desert under its spectacular starry sky.

Day 3: Merzouga – Tazzarine – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Early wake up to admire one of the beautiful moments of the desert, the sunrise over the dunes, and then, return to the hotel by camel After breakfast or a 4×4 to meet your driver/guide and start a new journey towards Marrakech; we drive to the vast palm grove of Tafilalet passing through the city of Rissani (the Alaouite dynasty and the capital of the ancient Sultan Alaouite), famous by its markets, that was the old trade center of the Caravans coming from the southern Sahara of Africa and other from the north.

After a short visit of the markets, we will head to Draa valley, through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, the oasis of Tazarine and Nkob. Continue to reach Ouarzazate through the sublime Valley of Draa, the Berber village of Agdz, and the port of Ait Saoun (1660 meters altitude). Stop for lunch in a local restaurant in Ouarzazate, and then, continue our journey to Marrakech, crossing the high Atlas; Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon around 6 or 7 PM.
